You are right about ...I absolutely ADORE this post. You are right about the fact that we all struggle with different things ... some with difficult families, some with finding true love, some with starting their own families, some with becoming secure in their Faith... whatever it is, we all struggle - it's just hard to remember when we're deep in the midst of our own grief. Wonderful, wonderful post. I think we're better moms for it. I don't mean that we're better than other moms, just that we're better than we would have been if we wouldn't have had to fight so hard for our babies. I'll be looking forward to hearing more about your experience as a mom of two. I felt like I was...Thanks for stopping by my blog! I felt like I was reading something that I could have written. So much of it rang true with me. I have to say that even after I had Bean, I had some trouble with bellies. Especially at things I was at for her. Her little gym class, the library. All the sudden all of these moms of one started getting pregnant and since the kids were all the same age, I once again felt like I was broken. It was especially hard when the mom I had become friends with in these classes told me she was pregnant. I almost stopped going. While I would love to say that having a baby healed me after infertility, it just hasn't. I am forever changed, and as hard as it is, I wouldn't have it any other way. I appreciate every single second I have with Bean and have been thankful every moment of my current pregnancy. I hope the journey this time around is easier for you.Ordinary Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04097349591385452530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3259092908731735507.post-53952591190211496652013-01-06T17:01:42.177-08:002013-01-06T17:01:42.177-08:00This post really resonated with me. I thought for ...This post really resonated with me. I thought for a long time that having E. had healed my heart. And he has, to some extent. But now that he is old enough (at nearly twenty months) that the women I know with children the same age are getting pregnant again, or planning to get pregnant, or have already had another child, the old envy and bitterness is rising up again. I find it so difficult to remain supportive when I have friends who get pregnant easily and just assume everything will work out as they have planned. (You know the type: "Oh I'm planning on getting pregnant in August so I can have a spring baby). I want so much to keep some emotional distance when we go back to the clinic to try for 2.0, but I bet I will start staring secretly at bellies again.

Thanks so much for reading my Creme post and my thoughts on Newtown. I think that it took many conversations with women who were experiencing unplanned pregnancies, abortions and single motherhood before I changed my tune on this issue. I also did some research on welfare and especially women on welfare that helped me develop a more compassionate outlook. I have been enjoying your blog too, by the way.Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15069220262683215373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3259092908731735507.post-16707309652605215722012-12-26T19:46:30.681-08:002012-12-26T19:46:30.681-08:00Wow. I have been one of those bitter women who (gasp) judge and feel resentful towards the teens, women on welfare, etc. get pregnant. I have never really thought about them having issue with being pregnant and the comparison it is to the infertile world. It left me thinking.Unfruitful pairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00624906760962006043noreply@blogger.com
